See, we did stuff besides eat in Chicago

While the food in Chicago was certainly a highlight, we did get out and do a few other things while we were there. We spent some time at Great-Grandma's house visiting with her and playing in the yard.
Downtown Chicago boasts a beautiful skyline and magnificent views of Lake Michigan. The best place to admire these views is from the top of the Sears Tower. It's actually called the Willis Tower now, but no one calls it that :)
Elizabeth had no problem going out on the glass observatory, even though we saw lots of adults who didn't want to walk on it.
Walking down toward the lake we found Buckingham Fountain. We spent an afternoon at Shedd Aquarium, which is one of the largest and nicest aquariums in the country. There were a ton of photo opportunities at the aquarium, but see my last post as to why I don't have too many from there. I did get a picture of some very odd looking fish with bulbous heads.
It was a quick trip, but a good one. Hopefully we'll make it back again soon and explore more of what the city has to offer. In the meantime we'll stay busy with lots of other adventures this fall!
