We took a week off of work last week, we opted out of a big vacation this year because we've taken several trips earlier in the year and we've spent a good bit on house projects too. So we started last week with a trip to Nanny and Papa's house on Lake Gaston. Here is our fisherwoman on the dock. She actually caught 2 fish, but of course Mommy didn't have the camera handy at that point :(
Just 2 innings in there was a rain shower so we had about an hour rain delay. Elizabeth didn't mind, she enjoyed splashing in puddles with some of the other kids that were there. She played so much, she fell asleep 5 minutes into the drive home, megaphone in hand...
She also really enjoyed the boat ride. She played with her squirt toy and Papa took us to the ice cream store.
Later in the week, Deda and Grandaddy came to visit. Elizabeth had a great time playing with them while Mommy and Daddy took a trip down to Oriental, NC to look at some property. We hijacked the camera that day, so sorry there are no pictures of her time with her grandparents. Elizabeth really loved to tell everyone she saw that she was on vacation. She told our waitress that at dinner with Deda and Grandaddy, nevermind that we were in our own town.
Over the weekend we went to a baby shower for our friends Amanda and Chris, who are expecting their own little monkey in October. Sunday we also went to a Durham Bulls baseball game. Someone had the bright idea to give her a megaphone, so she shouted her favorite commercial in it all evening long: "I said a beef hot link--GO MEAT!"

It was back to the normal routine today, but we all enjoyed our week off!
